I had a great experience today selling my 14k gold charm bracelet to Baraka Gems. Jamie was easy to deal with from first contact through assessment and sale. He explained the process and offered me a sale price way higher than I expected. While he was evaluating the piece, I browsed the store - what exquisite jewelry and mineral sculptures!

I came in yesterday to get resized for my college ring (wasn’t able to actually resize with Baraka since my ring was under warranty) and the person I spoke to on the phone was super understanding and friendly and told me I could definitely come in to get help with resizing. Once I was there (appointment only) the staff was extremely warm and welcoming and just super helpful. I unfortunately don’t remember the name of the lady who helped me with the resizing but I know she did have brown hair. She was incredibly kind and helpful and gave me super good information. Customer service here is superb. Will definitely think of them in the future if I ever need anything jewelry related. Thank you so much to the team at Baraka Gems!!

My now fiancé and I worked with both Jaime and Ashlen, who helped us design a gorgeous engagement ring/wedding band that incorporated the gems from my grandmother's ring. Everyone on the team was friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Now happily engaged to the love of my life!

I’ve been to Baraka Gems twice now and had great experiences both times. The staff is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and truly kind. On my first visit, I asked about repairing a sentimental piece and really appreciated the honest, transparent advice about pricing. On my second visit, Jamie helped me sell gold and was wonderful to work with. Beyond the outstanding service, the store itself is beautiful and thoughtfully curated, filled with stunning vintage designs that offer something for everyone.

I had come into possession of some rings from an estate and didn’t know much about their history and value. At the appointment, Jamie greeted me graciously and helped me understand the potential provenance of a couple of the pieces. I felt treated fairly and decided to hang on to one ring and sell the others. There was no pressure whatsoever to make the sale, and I walked out feeling very positive about the experience.

My boyfriend and I wanted to make a custom pendant for my birthday! After a bit of research I landed on Baraka. We met with Jamie and created a fully customized pendant, unfortunately there was a small accident and the tanzanite we picked chipped during setting! Jamie was extremely communicative and set every single thing right and even gave us a 100$ credit for the long wait time. Ashlen is the one who delivered the necklace and it is truly the most perfect piece of jewelry I've ever owned. Ashlen is genuinely such a ray of sunshine who is passionate and knowledgeable in the jewelry industry. The entire process including the small hiccup was truly a pleasure. That entire team at Baraka oohed and awwed over my pendant, everyone really seems to enjoy working there. My boyfriend and I look forward to working with Baraka in creating my engagement ring!! We decided we will not go anywhere else for our jewelry except Baraka. I have never felt more welcomed and more excited to have stumbled on a place like this.

The craftsmanship on my ring is absolutely breathtaking, every detail is so intentional, from the way the stones are set to the gentle curve that complements my engagement ring perfectly. My sweet husband generously let me upgrade my wedding ring. I came to Baraka Gems to create my first customized forever ring. I was introduced to Lauren by Jamie (owner). Working with Lauren has been a fun experience. I could not have done this without her expertise, knowledge, and patience as she guided me through every step of this process. Jamie allowed me to stretch my budget for this elegant, customized ring with my trade in. They selected a jaw dropping lab diamond to my specs and handcrafted my custom ring to perfection. The Jewelry Designer's master craftsmanship surpassed all my expectations! I receive compliments on my ring every day. I normally do not post pictures; however, I am overjoyed on how breathtaking my ring turned out and would like to share my experience with anyone looking to customize a ring. I first encountered Baraka when my partner and I were looking to custom design our engagement and wedding bands. I can’t speak more highly than I can of Taylor who was incredibly professional and helpful as we were considering our options. While we ultimately didn’t choose Baraka, it was more about timing and schedules and less about craft, price and expertise. I highly recommend considering Baraka and working with Taylor if you are a queer couple looking for unique rings. I most recently worked with Baraka as I was searching for a new gold chain and to get two costume jewelry pieces (a bracelet and a pendant) gold plated. Baraka has an excellent selection of estate jewelry and Jo was thoughtful, kind and knowledgeable and they were walking me around the showroom. Jo also talked me through proper ways to care for my gold jewelry and also things to consider and be aware of when it comes to gold plating. I think Baraka’s prices for labor are fair if not on the higher side but in general I appreciate investing in artisan and small businesses for special things like jewelry. Don’t hesitate to check out Baraka!

A really lovely experience! I worked with Lauren to turn a family heirloom into a new pendant for my wife and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve never done a custom jewelry appointment before and was a bit overwhelmed, but Lauren and the team made the process super easy. The shop is beautiful and the vibes are super welcoming (queer friendly & affirming). All that to say: thank you to Lauren and the Baraka team! I’ll be coming back for any future project I have. 🫶✨
